Understanding the Pearl Grades

Many years ago, in a quiet coastal village, there lived an old pearl diver named Anandayya. Each morning, he would dive into the deep blue sea, searching for the ocean’s hidden treasures  pearls of every kind.

One day, he returned with a basket full of pearls  some perfect for a single pearl necklace, others ideal for a shimmering mother of pearl necklace, and many beautiful gems for freshwater pearl necklaces. They all looked lovely, but the villagers had one question:
“Which pearl is the finest?”

To help them choose, Anandayya created a grading system:

1. A Grade – The Everyday Pearl
   Pearls with charm but small marks, softer shine, and perfect for affordable freshwater pearl necklace
2. AA Grade – The Special Occasion Pearl
   Smoother, rounder, brighter pearls, often chosen for elegant single pearl necklaces that highlight simple beauty.
3. AAA Grade – The Pearl of Royalty
   Almost flawless, glowing like moonlight  ideal for premium mother of pearl necklaces or luxury jewelry collections.
4. AAAA Grade – The Ocean’s Crown
   Rare, perfectly round pearls with unmatched luster treasured by collectors and crafted into heirloom pieces.
